Welcome to Friday Reflections! A weekly series sharing current life reflections, and 1 thought or thing I loved and/or learned from the week as I navigate rebuilding my life as a late bloomer.
Howdy!
Is that a good November greeting? (Let’s just go with it for now…)
Before I begin, another ambiguous shoutout to the newest paid subscriber here at Losing Orbit Living Late(ly)! Thank you so much for the monetary support, and as always, a big thanks to everyone who continues to open and read these despite them only being like… mini diary entries and shares while I get myself together online and in life.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! ♥
So things moved pretty fast after last week’s Friday Reflection! The next day, we went to Atlanta for my cousin’s 65th birthday, then were back home in the Midwest the next day.
The trip was short but enjoyable: great food, weather, people, and memories were made–such a blessing!
In other news, this week was a little wonky. After the trip, I immediately went to a seafood boil at my friend’s place, then needed an extra day (Monday) to unpack and kinda tidy up from our whirlwind trip. Then Tuesday was good! Kinda did some color research and reorganized Canva to start redoing my logos and such for the rebrand.
Then Wednesday night I went on a second date 👀.
Right? I didn’t even tell you about the first one!
I say that to say, that whenever I have anything planned later in the day, I struggle to stay focused on doing practically anything before that scheduled event, so needless to say… I didn’t get much of anything done Wednesday either.
So I can wrap this week up as a good one despite a lack of “productivity.” :)
The trip was lovely, and dating has been completely unexpected, nice, and has really confronted me with some new possibly confusing discoveries about myself… I may dive into that (and about a note my therapist wrote to me during my dad’s session when he updated her on me going on a date with someone) in a paid post soon; we’ll see.
Lastly, get ready to get your monthly illustration tomorrow! It’ll be one that may strike up some memories for you, too. ♥
Now, onto…
This One Thing…
Chiropractor memes. That’s it. That’s the share.
I was in tears laughing at these, and had a couple of friends share the same sentiment when watching some reels of people recreating chiropractor sessions!
Please… Please tell me that you laughed!
I’ll be waiting in the comments for your guffaws!
In the meantime, I’ll be around the Substack universe, and I’ll see you next week! :)
Hahaha! That drywall snapping.🤣
