UPDATE: I forgot to mention that to celebrate officially relaunching my newsletter, I’m giving 22% off paid subscriptions until December 2nd! I dunno why I wanted to launch so close to US Thanksgiving, but here we are. Next week I’ll be able to showcase more of what I’m hoping to publish as I write more for Tiny Moments. Happy to have ya on board!
Hello, and welcome to the Tiny Moments newsletter!
I’ve revamped my about page where you can learn more about me, but wanted to make an official post now that I’m recommitting to my newsletter and screaming about it to anyone who’ll listen (like… seriously this time).
Hearing the quote “the time will pass anyway” a few weeks back during a challenge that was all about going after your desires and the life you want to create for yourself was the epiphany I needed to finally give myself permission to show up to this newsletter exactly how I want.
It’s so true. Whether you go after your dreams or not, the time will pass anyway. And I know I’ve wasted years denying myself the permission to just show up doing what I enjoy and seeing what comes of it.
So let’s have some fun together, shall we?!
Here’s a quick rundown:
What’s the Tiny Moments Newsletter about?
Tiny Moments is a slice-of-life newsletter sharing life lessons, Christian rants, food loves, and more with humans wanting a break from the internet's strategic highlight reel.
It’s a multifaceted conversation just like one in real life would be. Here’s some of the topics chatted about over here:
Rants about Christianity. Me being able to step away from the version of Christianity I was surrounded by allowed me to grow as a person after gaining a deeper understanding of different types of spirituality, and I like to talk about that. A lot.
Revisiting old poems and memories. They’re a local favorite! And slap hard (do people still say things like “slap”?).
Geeking out on things I find and wanna share with you. Food, books, shows, moments, tools, hacks… There’s all yours.
Expanding on thoughts we all may have. Or thoughts you may have never considered.
Documentation of my journey of building a writing career and financial stability I enjoy creating despite being a caregiver. That pretty much speaks for itself, yeah?
There’s “free” and “paid” content. What’s the difference?
In a nutshell, I’ll be posting one main post every Wednesday at 8am EST and it’ll be free for the public to read.
To stretch myself, I’ve decided to try to keep up with a podcast called Accountability Calls (a weekly check-in, reflection for both you and me) every Friday. You can listen to it on YouTube! But to access pictures, links, and a more exclusive comment section you can become a paid subscriber.
Paid subbies also get access to more intimate writings I don’t want as easily accessible to the public when they do publish.
Aaaand I’ll be using the chat feature on the Substack app for both free and paid subbies!
Why would I pay?
No need to! I appreciate it if you even share my newsletter with others! I’m wanting to work hard to make this a fun and thoughtful space where we can converse about the human experience and how we plan to grow creatively.
I’d love to make writing this newsletter one of my main forms of income, and will work hard to bring you pieces you’ll hopefully enjoy!
Thanks so much for being here.
Now about the app…
The app’s available for both Android and ios and helps you read and listen on the go. At the time of writing this ios peeps can participate in the chat threads which will feel like a more casual chit-chat with the community.
I’m excited to use it and someday replace most of my social media use with it!
Alright, I’ve spent too much time trying to re-introduce myself with about page edits, and like… two other posts before this announcement posts so I think I’ll end it here for now so I can move on to the more fun and thoughtful pieces.
Thanksgiving’s in two days so this will be this week’s post rather than posting another one on my scheduled day tomorrow.
Again, thanks for reading and I’ll see you soon! Don’t forget to subscribe if you’d love to stick around and see what’s in store!
Good for you! It's always good to reevaluate goals and just decide to go for it when the opportunity presents itself.
