Welcome to Friday Reflections! The last of a weekly series that shares current life reflections, and 1 thought or thing I loved and/or learned from the week as I navigate rebuilding my life as a late bloomer.

Release... Surrender…
These words have been on my mind lately.
I want to make room for better fits for my life’s puzzle, and in order to do that I’ve gotta stop trying to force pieces to fit.
And that includes this newsletter.
I really want to have a weekly series here, but I don’t think it’s Friday Reflections anymore.
As of right now, what your future monthly schedule may look like is:
Bi-weekly essays/long-form writings
Bi-weekly boosts (super short bursts of inspiration for creatives)
A monthly doodle
A monthly reset and reflection with recommendations
And someday? Maybe a weekly series again? The schedule above feels pretty good for now.
We’ve come a long way since starting this series back on March 10th of this year. We’ve navigated feeling tender, lost, and vulnerable in the midst of grief. I also shared with you new birthday traditions, rediscovering the origin of our love of reading, and feeling lost all over again. And you can always look back at all the past Friday Reflections here.
I created a story about myself and what it would mean if I got rid of a weekly series I didn’t stick to for even a year. Like because of its short run, it’d mean I was flakey, but I’m embracing that there naturally can just be seasons to things.
Letting go of something that’s no longer fitting into your life creates space for all the things that will.
Before this series ends, I’d love to know what you’d like to see in a monthly series!
I have a TON of ideas, but want to know which of these more prominent section ideas you’d like to see most.
A. You and I celebrating our creative pursuits (or ways we supported ourselves for our creativity) the previous month.
B. An oracle card pull for the month ahead. You choose between two cards and I tell you how I interpret each card. An intuitive self-trust exercise!
C. What we’re inviting more of, and less of in the month ahead.
And I have it in poll form too in case you don’t wanna comment on wanting more than one of the choices above:
I plan to write the first version of this monthly write-up at the end of this month, so I’d love to know what you’d like to see in it.
This (Last) One Thing…
Do you play D&D (Dungeons and Dragons)? Do you like folk music? Like to feel like you’re part of a Renaissance fair?
Then you’re gonna love this YouTube channel that has Renaissance-inspired remixes of songs!
They have K-pop songs, pop songs, Disney songs… even the Ken song!
Like… I’m making my own playlist with this awesome music, and shared it with a friend who can’t wait to share this find with his own D&D crew.
I’d highly recommend scrolling through their music to see what covers you find! It’s like being in a super quirky record store.
I want to thank everyone who joined me on this journey and who also liked and commented on them throughout the months.
, , , and are just a few people I’m especially grateful for, for all the love and comments on this series. Here’s to an even better future (and FINALLY coming to a conclusion with the visual branding here!!)!
See you soon.
Warmly,
Cierra M
Hey there. Slowly catching up on my deluge of newsletters post-trip... 😜
Of course I would love oracle card pulls, as I am rather biased toward that option. 😉 Having said that, I will also be happy to see whatever your muse(s) inspire you to create.
2024 looks to be a dynamic Dragon Year, so I suspect we'll all have fires burning in our bellies as the year unfolds. 🐲🔥
Thank you, Cierra. I'm grateful for you too!!
