Nadia, thank you so so much for this comment, and the support you've shown for my Substack (it's honestly made my week!)
And, of course, for the condolences. Those feelings were what I was trying to convey, so I'm glad it communicated. It truly felt like we were drowning together and I was doing ANYTHING to make her feel better and it just. wasn't. working. Gripping and grasping for anything to bring life back into her before she was carried away mentally, and then permanently from us all.
Taking things day by day, and finally got in with a therapist so I'm extremely grateful!
I think our bodies are always trying to talk to us and tell us things. My mom and both agreed that stress can tear a person up where it will physically manifest; I truly believe that!
There's a lot of wonder in the world and in our physical beings (I believe!).
And thank you! (Again and again!) I'm about to check out yours once I make lunch in a bit. I wanna see who IS this mysterious Nadia! Haha. I'm excited to dive in! :)
I want to be able to keep being honest about my feelings like this; I think the biggest obstacle is the possibility of family finding it and not liking that I'm speaking so open about how I perceived my own experiences.
But I think more and more I'm willing and ready to take that risk.
