Okay. I am running to the store for corn on the cob and nectarines now cause that just sounds damn tasty.

Your Friday Reflections snap me out of a spiral without fail Cierra. While I hate that you find yourself on this grief journey, just know that I have so much gratitude to share it with you in some way. Grief (and depression) are incredibly isolating, and when we find space with someone who gets it, for a moment we are not alone.

I could’ve sworn I replied to this weeks ago! But it doesn’t show so on my phone so here I am! 😋

If you did indulge, I hope you enjoyed! And it is indeed bittersweet to be navigating grief, but so lovely not to be alone when doing so.

Glad you're creating space for yourself, Cierra--it's exciting! But about your therapy; I would do first floor! Also, why do I want to cook something after your post?! Thanks for sharing, yes to the cartoons!

I think my phone’s just acting up cause I KNOW I replied to you! But just in case... I will take that note about which window to fly out of when therapy challenges call!

Haha I also hope if you did cook, it was extremely satisfying!

If I say only one thing, it's this. Go. To. Japan. The once in a lifetime trip will recenter you in the world like nothing else can.

My once in a lifetime trip (so far) was to Australia for two glorious weeks. If you find your way to Japan, though, I might have to smuggle myself in your luggage. 😉

I told my dad the exact same thing if his job sends him to Japan! Asked him to let me test the durability of his new luggage so I could make sure it can hold me snugly on that trip haha!

And I’m more and more determined to make Japan happen in the next year or two! I’d love to SO much!

I actually went to South Korea in 2016 for 16 days with two friends and I. LOVED. IT.

Lots of firsts! First plane ride since I was like, 3. First time out of the country, first time going anywhere that long without family (nearby or in the house). But it was so great!

I will be sure to make sure my luggage can uh... also... hold some “extra essentials” whenever I do get to go! 😉 Haha!
