I'm so glad this was comforting for you; it was for me too, to come to the realization that yeah, I DON'T know what the future holds. That's the magic of it!

I'm so sorry to learn you lost your grandmother a year ago! And I can only imagine how a chronic illness can attempt to loom over you. Life is full of surprises and I wish you only the best ones on this wavy thing we call life!

And YES! It's bittersweet that you understand! They do tend to help so far! If I'm eating as well I find I have to really listen to make sure no one's talking to me, or turn up the TV, because it amplifies to noise *you're* making haha. But it definitely helps muffle the irritants out (and muffles my rage for them).

They also helped when I randomly got overwhelmed on my first cruise recently! It was too noisy in the pizza parlor and I was waiting for someone and they helped calm me/the chattering/yelling down.

I've thought about that a lot recently, about people who lost others or couldn't be with one-another during the pandemic. Especially if they lost someone. I'm so sorry you were one of the people who couldn't because of distance as well! I understand how that would take time to heal from or at least have a bit of that anger and regret lifted.

Anyone can tell you how it's not your fault and to not fault yourself period for truly being unable to physically be there, but I understand how it just doesn't act like a balm for a situation like that.

Oh and I'm sorry! I worded that wrong, but I meant I couldn't leave the pizza place on the ship because I was waiting for someone to come there, and so I used the Loop earplugs while I waited and it helped me be able to calm down quite a bit while I was waiting in there!

I personally don't have it loop back to me! They just trigger something or flip this switch of annoyance cause it becomes SO prominent when I hear it! Haha.

I've gotten headaches before cause I try to hold it in/hold back (lol cause the people chewing and smacking as they eat don't deserve a backhand for it ahaha! I'd never but the anger is real and I hate it!).

You're absolutely fine! Haha and I'll be mentally giving myself a gold star anytime I survive without my Loop earbuds and have to listen to the eating noises haha.

That's all so understandable. I'm glad you had your husband there at least as well. I know it's not the same. I truly do hope you hold those memories close and that someday they overshadow the difficult time of quarantine. <3

I felt this one so deeply, Cierra. The fear of not knowing if it will ever get better sits right next to the possibility and hope that it could. So glad you’re here ❤️ and so excited about your three things from February! Checking them all out asap!!

Thank you so so much, Jenna! ❤ It was such a revelation to understand how unknown anything in the future is; I can't be certain about ANYTHING (in the best way!), so why act like I'm so certain that life won't change and get better and deliver amazing gifts? And yesss, let me know what you think! I absolutely loved everything and HAD to mention them even if I didn't do my Monthly Musings, haha!
